This Tuesday, Jan. 31, we have the only opportunity to publicly ask the Senate Finance Committee to #reversethecuts affecting access to care for families who receive Medicaid.

On Tuesday, the committee will receive public testimony for Article II (Health and Human Services) of the state budget bill SB 1. This is the only opportunity the public will have this legislative session to give input to the committee about therapy funding for the next budget cycle.

Testify at the Capitol

We encourage all who may be affected to travel to Austin to tell legislators about their experiences with timely access to medically necessary therapy services through any Medicaid program in Texas.

The hearing will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Texas State Capitol in room E1.036. You can watch the live stream online at: http://www.senate.texas.gov/av-live.php 

Those wishing to testify are encouraged to arrive at the Capital no later than 8 a.m. in order to go through security and arrive at the extension building where room E1.036 is located to register for oral and/or written testimony – and to find a seat.
